This Saturday October 6, join Mayor Lee and Supervisor Avalos to support Prop C in the Excelsior!

Why are we calling Proposition C “Housing For All”? In one of the most expensive cities in the country, Prop C’s Housing Trust Fund will create opportunities for housing the diversity of peoples that make San Francisco the great city we love: over a billion dollars over thirty years for building low-income affordable homes, doubling the size of the city’s first-time homebuyer loan program, a new program to stabilize the foreclosure crisis, and incentives to build privately-funded mixed-income projects.

On Affordable Housing Day, Saturday, October 6, join us at 9:30 in the Excelsior to support Housing for All, with Mayor Ed Lee, District 11 Supervisor John Avalos, community organizations fighting to turn publicly-owned parking lots into sites for affordable housing (PODER, Filipino Community Center, and Coleman Advocates), and foreclosure fighters working with ACCE to keep their homes and save their communities!

After the rally, at 10 am, join the weekend volunteers of the Council of Community Housing Organizations (CCHO) to spread the word about Prop C throughout 44 precincts of the Excelsior and OMI. Both events are in District 11’s first nonprofit affordable housing development, Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center’s CASA (Crocker Amazon Senior Apartments), located at 5199 Mission Street at Geneva.

Then from 1 to 4pm, Affordable Housing Day San Francisco opens 13 affordable housing sites throughout the city to the public! Visit open houses all over the City, or join the bike tour leaving from the Ferry Building at 11:30. For more information, or to sign up for the tour, see
